What an amazing and packed second week we had here on TJJ bus 1. We traveled to Eilat at the beginning of the week, where we spent two days playing water sports, walking the boardwalk, rappelling, and hiking.
From Eilat we travelled to the Dead Sea, where we also did a fabulous water hike.
We visited Bedouin tents on Tuesday, learning about their culture and norms. Our teens slept In tents and enjoyed an inspirational gratitude activity while camped in the desert.
On Wednesday we hiked up Masada and ended off the day with Yom NCSY- an evening where all the different NCSY/JSU Israel summer trips come together to celebrate the spirit of our Jewish youth with singing, dancing and of course – lots of food! Over twenty five hundred youth danced the night away, leaving us all with a newfound sense of pride and inspiration.
We are now all on the bus together again after our short free weekend break. It is so nice to see how excited everyone was to be back together again as a group. We are looking forward to another incredible week here on BUS 1!
